ENOUGH! meet with Yvette Cooper MP

On 5 May, The Rt Hon Yvette Cooper MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, met with representatives of the ENOUGH! campaign and young people from youth organisations in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. The meeting was held to discuss funding which will be released as a result of the Dormant Bank and Building Society Accounts Act. ENOUGH! believes that this money should be safeguarded for existing grassroots organisations who have the proven skills and experience to deliver quality youth services.
Ms Cooper agreed to pass on the campaign's recommendations to the working group deciding the criteria for funding applications.

ENOUGH! Lewisham update

The ENOUGH! campaign in Lewisham enjoyed a successful launch attended by hundreds of young people in November. Since then a diverse group of campaigners have agreed to take the Enough! message into local secondary schools. It makes sense to work with schools, because this is where most young people spend most of their time. We aim to organise a project to run a series of workshops to educate and empower young people about issues of youth violence, using the creative arts.
